In 2276, the United States celebrates its 500th anniversary.
What history will they tell?
America almost
didn't make it.
In the 2020s, polarization, distrust, institutional decay, and democratic fatigue pushed the country toward fragmentation.
But somehow, Americans changed course.
It endured not because it predicted the future, but because the people reunited to restore the foundations, so that it could continue to adapt across centuries of change.
What did we do?
The people of 1776 could not have imagined the world we live in today. We cannot imagine the world of 2276 either.
This project is not about predicting the future. It is about imagining the foundations a free society would need in order to remain resilient, legitimate, humane, adaptive, and worthy of another 250 years.
